Re: Enphase Envoy-S Solar Power Plugin (with Panel Monitorin

Hi

Sorry to hear about issues.

What envoy device have you got?

Will need a debug log from the plugin to have any idea as to what might be ongoing.
Turn on debug logging, check all the debug check boxes
Let it run for a bit and copy/paste/PM the results

Thanks

Re: Enphase Envoy-S Solar Power Plugin (with Panel Monitorin

Hi

Thanks Check you PM - please send those through.

But basically have discovered there are 2 Envoy-S devices.
One metered, one unmetered.

It would appear (the PM results will help confirm) you have the unmetered one - this does not display the full production.json info. Instead we have to rely on the Legacy info source which doesn’t quite have as much details.

Hence the envoy-s device - fails.
The legacy device works and correctly reports.
And interestingly the panel devices created from the fail envoy-s work - as panel data in envoy-s unmetered still accessible.

A bit of mess really.

Will see if I re-rewrite the plugin with a new device covering all now known options, but leaving current devices alone. Just deprecated.

Glenn

Re: Enphase Envoy-S Solar Power Plugin (with Panel Monitorin

Hi

Sent a PM.

Need to know whether your version of Envoy-S reports anything at:
http://IPAddress/v1/api/consumption ?

Pending that information, have a new version on github
Checks for Metered/Unmetered Envoy-s Version and uses data from three sources.
Also pulls serial Number of device itself, so no longer needed to enter/find Serial Number for panels

Try the 0.2.6 version: from the clone/Download button

Re: Enphase Envoy-S Solar Power Plugin (with Panel Monitorin

Thanks - the consumption doesn't seem to be reported, hence the net power etc wrong.

Try plugin version 0.2.7

(Have sent a separate PM regarding a few other queries as try to search for Consumption reporting/data)

Re: Enphase Envoy-S Solar Power Plugin (with Panel Monitorin

Not my lucky day, No getting this error:

Enphase Envoy Plugin Error connecting to Device: Enphase Solar

My Envoy is connected via Ethernet cable, so no wifi issues, The envoy is connecting to the Enphase cloud.

Suggestions?

Re: Enphase Envoy-S Solar Power Plugin (with Panel Monitorin

It can't connect to the Enphase IP address.

It could be a variety of reasons; the most likely of which is a UI timeout in the enphase device. Typically happens once and a while and resolves within a hour or 2
Often you will find can't access the local IP web browser at the same time.

There hasn't been any changes to enphase for ages, and it is all local - so not same as tesla api issue

I just installed a solar system with the Enphase IQ Envoy and your plugin is working great. Below is a page I created. The panel layout is what it looks like on my roof. Thanks for the great plugin!Image

Re: Enphase Envoy-S Solar Power Plugin (with Panel Monitorin

Glenn,

Back on the error. I am getting now:

Enphase Envoy Plugin Error connecting to Device:Enphase Solar Error is:HTTPConnectionPool(host='192.168.XXX.XXX', port=80): Max retries exceeded with url: /production.json (Caused by ConnectTimeoutError(<requests.packages.urllib3.connection.HTTPConnection object at 0x113dae250>, 'Connection to 192.168.XXX.XXX timed out. (connect timeout=25)')

As mentioned, I am not on WiFI. Both the indigo server and Envoy are hardwired. This has worked without any issues for at least 18 months, so wonder what is causing this now.

I looked at everything and can't find any issues with the infrastructure. I use Unify switches and USG Pro 4. Can't see any error with the network.

As last thread - I do occasionally see this. The enphase device web server hangs for hours. May be related to upgrade, or it doing something else? Not sure. You can manually power down and restart (which involves turning off power at fuse level) or wait it out. Normally comes back well under 24 hours.

If you go to the local enphase production webpage eg.

http://192.168.1.118/production.json

This is mine - it’ll will hang here to.

Could be any other number of network things, firewall, intrusion protection blocks/snort etc..

Re: Enphase Envoy-S Solar Power Plugin (with Panel Monitorin

After upgrading to 2021.1, getting

Enphase Envoy Plugin Error connecting to info.xml to find Serial Number

Any way to fix this on my end?

Not seeing this with 2021.1 which is working well for me

So unsure why you are with out more info. Code review just shows it is a failure to connect to device IP address. Do check that it is still correct in main enphase Envoy-S indigo device

May just be a timeout and will fix itself once Enphase device recovers

I just upgraded to 2021.1 and my Enphase system seems to be working okay. Not getting any error messages and Indigo Touch control page is displaying correctly.
