Hikvision vs SecuritySpy motion detection

This is not about this plugin, but I thought I'd post it here to see if someone has played around with this.
I am currently a happy user of SecuritySpy, but there are specific situations where SecuritySpy's motion detection (pixel based) is not adequate and where it reports false positives.
I am wondering if anybody has tested the internal Hikvision motion detection methods and compared it to what SecuritySpy offers.
There is one situation where I receive a lot of false positives from SecuritySpy.
I have a Hikvision pinhole camera at my front door. It is mounted inside, but looking out a window above the door and detects when someone is at the door.
This sends a pushover message to my iPhone, and when dark, turns on the light outside at the front door.
However, this is close the street (approx 4m), and for some reason this is a place where a lot of cars turn around to go back where they came from. I guess they are looking for a place to park.
The camera picks up the car headlights lighting on the pavement, and SecuritySpy identifies this as movement.
Would there be any advantage to use the Hikvision internal motion detection ? I'm thinking line crossing might be helpfull, but in the end, are the Hikvision methods also based on pixel motion ?
