Ok, I see the problem... You have to run the Weather Underground script from the contributions library. That will populate Wunderground_Precip_today_in

This plugin looks very interesting to me - I would like much better ability to control each zone independently rather than simply starting a watering cycle.

I've downloaded it, but can't figure out how to get it to do anything. Double-clicking on "MasterIrrigation.indigoPlugin" doesn't do anything. I searched through the package and found a file called "PluginConfig.xml" which seems to contain the information that's supposed to be in the opening screen, but in an xml format. I tried opening it in Safari, but didn't get anything like the screen shown in the users guide (same text, but no options to do anything with it).

What am I missing here?

Thanks

You need to define a plugin type device for each of your zones, plugin: Master Irrigation, type: irrigation zone... then hit the configure button to set how long and how often it's supposed to run.

Sorry, but I'm still confused. If I try to define a plugin type device, the selectors for "Plugin" and "Model" are grayed out - I can't define anything yet. It appears that the plugin hasn't been installed. But it also appears that I can't install it.

The first sentence under "Installation" says
Unzip the plugin distribution and then double-click the MasterIrrigation.indigoPlugin. Indigo will present a dialog window, click Install and Enable.

But that dialog window never appears.

I downloaded it several months ago, so my memory is a bit vague, but as I recall, it installed itself automatically into Indigo 5.1. It immediately appeared in the Plugins Menu and as soon as I selected enable there, I could define devices; there wasn't anything in the plugin configure menu except a debug option.

Make sure you're running the latest Indigo release and when you double-click on the plugin you must do it on the Mac that the Indigo server is running on.

Make sure you're running the latest Indigo release

That did it, I was running 5.0.
Thanks for your help!

Wondering if there is any update to this great master irrigation plugin. I'm still on 1.0 and don't see any newer versions.

After having the plugin work flawlessly I changed it to control the schedule by a variable and have to reload the plugin to get any change in the variable to be recognized. In other words, if the variable is true when the the plugin is loaded, the schedule will run. If the variable is changed to false the next sprinkler run will also take place. If I reload the plugin then the next run will be disabled as expected.

Anyone else have this issue or a solution?

The latest version is 1.0.1 and it is available on dropbox. I have not heard of a problem like you are observing. Try the update and let me know if that resolves the issue.

Thanks for the pointer to the update. I installed 1.0.1 and have the same issue. There was a change however: now even reloading the plug in doesn't get the variable state to be recognized.

I've tried restarting Indigo.
I've tried restarting the Mac (PowerPC based Mini running 10.5.8)
I've created a fresh variable to use.

The plug in now acts like there is no variable at all or that it's always set to "true".

Any troubleshooting ideas greatly appreciated.

Master Irrigation Schedule create, reading device: new device 1

According to your log, it is erroring with a device called New Device 1. I would delete this device or complete its configuration -- my offhand guess is that this device was created accidentally or, if it was on purpose, hasn't been fully setup in the Device Configuration screen.

Ah oui. C'est parce que tous les noms des zones sont en français. Cette plug-in est en anglaise.

Sorry I didn't respond earlier, for some reason I did not get notification about your post. I think @RogueProeliator was on the right track. It looks like New Device 1 is corrupt. If that does not work, you can try re-installing the plugin.

I'm having serious problems with my master irrigation/ezflora. The schedule I've been using for several seasons has stopped working, and activating via Indigo Touch works only sporadically.

Here's the event log message I'm getting:

May 26, 2015, 5:08:13 AM
Sent INSTEON "EZFlora2 - Patio/Pond" off (ack: all valves off)
Sent INSTEON "EZFlora2 - Front Lawn" off (ack: all valves off)
Sent INSTEON "EZFlora2 - North Lawn" off (ack: all valves off)
Sent INSTEON "EZFlora2 - South Lawn" off (ack: all valves off)
Sent INSTEON "EZFlora2 - Kitchen Garden" off (ack: all valves off)
Sent INSTEON "EZFlora2 - Front Beds" off (ack: all valves off)
Sent INSTEON "EZFlora2 - spare" off (ack: all valves off)
Sent INSTEON "EZFlora2 - spare" off (ack: all valves off)
Master Irrigation Irrigation ended for zone Kitchen Garden
Master Irrigation Starting irrigation for Patio/Pond(output 3), for 14.0 minutes
Master Irrigation Error python API turnOnZone() has been deprecated -- use setActiveZone() instead (note setActiveZone zone index argument is 1 based instead of 0 based)
Sent INSTEON "EZFlora2 - Patio/Pond" on (ack: all valves off)

Any ideas?
