Before you try any more re-installs do the following:

1) Choose Plugins->Open Scripting Shell. menu item.
2) Copy/paste in:

Code: Select all

import sys
print(sys.path)
import lxml
print(xml.__file__)

Then copy/paste the Terminal window results into a reply for me.

Thanks to you both for your help. I ended up wiping the hard drive and re-installing the OS and all apps from scratch to get rid of all the junk that I collected over the years. Everything is running great now.

Sometimes that's the best option. I'm getting ready to do that on my iMac, unless I decide to replace it next month.
