Pentair Pool plugin updated for Indigo 2022.1

I've taken over maintaining this plugin, as the OP no longer has the required hardware.

That looks right but that's an absurd price.

I agree haha. I have an old POS "z-wave" pool control system now. Installed it all myself, and absolutely hate it. Can't integrate with anything. So I'm looking for something new. I'd like to be able to control it in Indigo, but that's not a requirement. That said, I'd still like to be able to control it while my Internet is down, and most of the systems I find are all cloud based. This being serial is interesting to me. No network problems to be heard of with serial.

If you don't mind a few more questions...

Are you happy with your setup? Would you recommend Pentair? Do the controls in Indigo work OK? Does the plugin need more work to expose more features, or does it seem like it has all the useful features now? Any insight would be cool. I'm looking for any type of advice as I shop around for a new controller.

The Pentair system works OK. There's a main controller installed inside which is used to program all the temps and schedules. There's a poolside button pad which I can use to turn on the spa, bubbles, lights, or water feature. But I think the system I have is an older generation which might be discontinued, which is why the price on the interface is crazy. I'm not sure it's available anymore. I think the current system uses different controllers and a mobile app, and would not be compatible with this plugin.

I just looked, and there are projects on GitHub that work with IntelliCenter (the new model controllers), but a new plugin would need to be developed.

I have a pentair system but my serial adapter hasn't worked in several years. Have always told myself that I need to contact pentair to find out how to fix it, but so many other things to do.
