ideas?

Turn on debug logging, then do it again. Then create an issue on GitHub with the log info.

Hi Joe, just wanted to say thanks for another awesome plugin. It simplifies my setup once more, although I now have work re-configuring zones :p
Thanks!

I was wondering if you have an ETA on the last issue "device becomes on when one of several motion sensors becomes off after zone cancel"?

See comments in GitHub issue.

Testing this plugin in some rooms and it makes life a lot easier. Specially in rooms with multiple entrances or large rooms with different areas.

It should be even better if you could see the remaining time before it goes of. Many timers that I use shows this in the state column.

Interesting idea. I never thought of that. Put in a feature request on GitHub, please.

Is it correct that the plugin is only checking the conditions when the zone becomes occupied?

Wifey stayed in a room this afternoon and it was getting darker and and darker but the lights didn’t go on even if the conditions was fulfilled.

Is it possible to let the plugin check the conditions on a regular basis when the zone is occupied?

What's your zone definition that includes something with a light level? The easiest solution is to include a sensor for that, and when that sensor changes (light to dark) it should trigger the zone to change.

I can of course set up an additional trigger that will turn on or off the light if the sensor value is changed from one state to another.

But since it’s the same sensor and value that I use for the condition in Occupatum plugin it should be much smoother for me as a user if the plugin checked if the conditions was fulfilled on a regular basis, like once a minute. A lot can happened with for example surrounding lights if you stay in a room for several hours.

I accepted if my wishes are to complex and will take to much time or is impossible to implement in the plugin. Just want to contribute with ideas for improvements.

Can you list the sensors for that room and show Occupatum zone definition (screen grab of the device config)?

The only way that a light would come on if it was darker was if a light sensor or value was part of the zone definition, and if that sensor changes values the zone would be re-evaluated anyway. Or did it not change because she wasn't moving and the motion sensor was off?

I have made some triggers based on the conditions in the Occupatum plugin that will be executed if the zones are occupied.
It’s working good and I can live with it for time being.

Will try this out and come back if I have any new ideas.

I Love this plugin..

One thing though It would be nice to add any device to It.. Lets say If my phone and Iwatch would dissapear in my fingscan for example...

But on motion detection it works great.

Kind regards
Vincent

You can use Masquerade to turn the FIngscan state into a sensor-type device.
