Re: New Plugin - Bond Home

using a bond bridge and the iOS app to control a ceiling fan and fireplace.

looking to integrate the bond bridge into indigo then HomeKit via the HomeKit bridge...

i found the device ip address, but where do i find the local token?

after the plugin is properly set up - how do i then integrate the commands currently set up to the bond bridge onto the HomeKit bridge?

in other words, im guessing the bond functions won't auto populate as a device i can simply add to a HomeKit bridge..

many thx

Re: New Plugin - Bond Home

Set up the Bond Home Bridge device with the IP address and token. The plugin retrieves the devices the bridge knows about. Create a Generic or Relay device for each. Test that you can control them directly from the Indigo UI. Then add them to HKB.

Re: New Plugin - Bond Home

It's a plugin device type, like the bridge device. The plugin reads all the actions/devices you have defined using the iOS app and gives you a list:

Re: New Plugin - Bond Home

Turn on detailed debugging then restart the plugin, then post the log contents after the restart.

And maybe a screen shot of what you're seeing.

Re: New Plugin - Bond Home

What happened to the Bridge device you created, that you put in the IP address and token?

Re: New Plugin - Bond Home

Question. I have been looking at this Bond device. How will I know if it will work with my particular fans? Or is it just understood that it will pretty much work with any?

Re: New Plugin - Bond Home

It's not showing up in the log. There should be a line showing it as starting. Do you have it disabled? Unless that device is working correctly (communicating with the Bond bridge) nothing else is going to work.

It works with mine. If they use an RF remote, then it will probably work with yours. But the only way to really know is to try it.
