MyQ Login failures starting at 1:37PM CDT

At the above specified time I started getting:

Code: Select all
MyQ Error                       myqLogin failure, JSON Decode Error: <html><head><title>Request Rejected</title></head><body>Your request has been denied.<br><br>[XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX]</body></html>

where XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX is a different number, about every 5 minutes. The app is still logging in. Is this just some MyQ outage or something else?

I'm getting it too.

Sure looks like the MyQ servers are rejecting requests. Probably server down or some such. If it persists, it might be another case of them changing the API calls. There was an update to the MyQ iOS app that I installed a few days ago. Might be related. Might not. Damn reverse engineered APIs.

+1

Every 10 minutes. When I go into the device settings, the MyQ Opener Device is blank and there are no devices to choose from. Presumably, those are picked up through the API and not cached.

I came here to drink milk and kick ass....and I've just finished my milk.

If you have existing devices, they're still good (but nothing will work since the API is currently not responsive). If you're trying to create new devices, then the plugin uses the list it gets via the API. Which would be empty at this point.

Thanks Joe - that was editing an existing device. I haven't tried to create a new one.

Same thing. It can't give you a list of devices.

Still happening this morning. That's not good.

Agreed. I really hope I don't have to replace my opener (it won't work with other solutions like the Insteon and GoControl kits)...

Re: MyQ Login failures starting at 1:37PM CDT

I haven't seen any chatter on the GitHub pages or elsewhere for other HA systems using the same API, so maybe it's somewhat isolated.

This is the exact same error people had gotten previously which was seemingly tracked down to some sort of IP address blacklist. I might test with a VPN and see what happens.

Edit: Same error with VPN running.

Re: MyQ Login failures starting at 1:37PM CDT

Hi...

I am also getting the same error:
MyQ Error myqLogin failure, JSON Decode Error: <html><head><title>Request Rejected</title></head><body>Your request has been denied.<br><br>[13495076364891917473]</body></html>

I also use the app and I've confirmed that I can login and control the door through the app, so I think the may have changed the API?

I've also confirmed that IFTTT is talking to their servers. I'm able to get email notifications from IFTTT when the doors open or close. Haven't tried sending commands to open the doors.

Re: MyQ Login failures starting at 1:37PM CDT

Release 7.3.1 posted on the plugin store.

https://github.com/FlyingDiver/Indigo-M ... /tag/7.3.1

Thanks to @Ianbrown for the link. I thought I was subscribed to updates for the pymyq library, but I wasn't. Stole the updated User Agent and appID strings from their update yesterday.

Re: MyQ Login failures starting at 1:37PM CDT

Applied the update and the error messages are gone. List of MyQ devices under the device config dialog is still empty, however. I invoked Update Device Status from the plugin menu--still no errors--but also still no devices listed under the config menu. I tried creating a new device and the list was likewise empty. Perhaps I need to be patient?

I'm on my way to work so there's limitations to what I can try (i.e., restarting my MyQ bridge device would have to wait.)

I came here to drink milk and kick ass....and I've just finished my milk.

How many MyQ devices do you have? And do you already have Indigo devices created for them?

Uno.

The single device is the same one that was working fine (as far as I know) under 7.3.0 until the recent API change.
