Logitech are teaching me to hate Harmony..

[Start Rant]

It appears the only way to make HH reliable is to block it's access to the internet.

They find new and interesting ways to suddenly stop it working (with Indigo).

BONK stops working.

So nothing happens when Indigo sends a command as part of wider instruction set...

You pick up the remote and that works - but Indigo direct controls still not working....

A couple of days later still not working so, restart the plugin, nope, restart the hub nope.

Now start looking at threads in Indigo forums

And bingo - Logitech disabled external access..

Then a workaround........

Then BONK a couple of months it all stops working again,,

Start cycle again.

Ah - Logitech have blocked it up all over again.

Now this time NO EXCUSES they know who is running the special firmware - they have the email addresses - send them an email and they will be able to sort it quickly...

No too easy...

Just do a firmware update without any notice and BONK it all stops working.

Well fixed it now - I have set a FINGBOX on its ASS!!

Block the HH from talking to the internet and it becomes reliable - i.e. Logitech can't keep breaking it.

Shouldn't get anymore problems now..

I do rather resent them for claiming enabling the xmpp functionality voids any warranty as we had no problems with it before they started messing about with it all. Simple fact is if for some reason I do need warranty support for them I’ll badger them relentlessly until they give in. I ain’t taking that as an excuse.
