Re: Logitech closing their API

I own a NEEO. It’s a pretty versatile universal remote. I’m in Australia and it’s ok with Apple TV, Foxtel and Amazon and obviously controls the tv too.
Ultimately it’s just a better looking, better built Harmony I think after playing with a Harmony at a mates.
Does work with Indigo though. Took a while to get to sync and does not show up as a new device but it does “copy” the devices on the network and allow a Apple iOS style on/off button as well as a dimmer slider for each light or virtual devices for scenes (on/off only).
Groups devices by rooms do the right lights sit alongside the right audio/video equipment.

How does NEEO support transport controls (Play, Pause, FF, RW)?

I see that these controls are available via the touchscreen; do the hard buttons also support these functions or can those functions be mapped to the wheel?

I came here to drink milk and kick ass....and I've just finished my milk.

Not nearly enough hard buttons for my taste - I operate remotes totally by touch so one that I have to look at to do basic functions is a non-starter. It's hard to imagine a better built remote than the Harmony companion which is quite solid and runs forever on a button cell battery... ;)

Let's take the discussion of alternate remotes to another thread.

Logitech closing API again??

The original topic is closed??? Is it just me or has Logitech gone back to closing access for 3rd parties? All my hub routines have gone south the last couple of days. Getting this error message AGAIN

"Harmony Hub Error Harmony Living Hub: Error starting harmonyHub device, possibly bad IP address, disabling..."

Thank you for the link. I did not know the Harmony world had changed until it stopped working. Looks like it's working again till they start screwing with it again.
