Erroneous ZWLM notification from Kwikset lock

ZWave Lock Manager sometimes gives me notifications of events for one of my Kwikset locks which seem erroneous. this happens to be one of my older kwikset locks a model 910, which i think is equivalent to a model 912.

i get notifications like this:
Code: Select all
Z-Wave Lock Manager             Status: Invalid code limit exceeded [Node: 26]

i get these at times when no-one is entering any codes. my assumption is that "invalid code limit exceeded" would be a message you would get if someone were repeatedly trying to open the lock by entering codes and had exceeded some limit of bad codes within a certain time period. however, that's definitely not what is happening when i get these messages.

anyone else seen this? is it a possible error in ZWLM? or an error in the implementation or documentation by kwikset? suggestions?

below are the details of the z-wave device;
Code: Select all
Indigo Z-Wave Version: 2023.1.0
Node ID: 26
Model: SmartCode Lock (910)
Model ID: 00010001
Manufacturer: Kwikset
Manufacturer ID: 0090
Protocol Version: 3.67
Application Version: 3.37
Model Definition Version: 0
Library Type: 6
Class Name: Keypad Door Lock
Class Hierarchy: 04 : 40 : 03
Command Class Base: 62

If it's an older lock, maybe there's been some water penetration that's shorting the keys and causing it to think the buttons are being pressed.

thanks for the suggestion. the lock is essentially indoors (lock sits between my house and an enclosed garage), so i don't think water infiltration is the problem.

possibly i will watch for a sale and grab a new/updated lock at some point.

If this is happening frequently, can you put the plugin in debug mode (plugins > ZWave Lock Manager > Configure) then send me the "Raw: ......." line that appears in the log when it happens.
