Yale Conexis Smart Door Lock - with Zwave Plus Module

Has anyone had experience of these?

Any good - are there other Indigo controllable Eurolocks?

Anyone got them working with Indigo?

Do they work with ZWave Lock Manager?

Will ZWave Lock Manager work after MacOS 12.3? (looks like a lot of the Indigo plugins won't :-()

Using Indigo can you detect whether a door is locked or unlocked?

Can you lock the door if the door handle has NOT been pushed up?

Looking at pulling the trigger on three of these maybe.

I’m updating all my plugins to work with the next version of Indigo/MacOS as quickly as possible.

Active plugins such as Lock Manager will be done before passive ones like Watcher.

Although I live in the US, I had to purchase one of these locks, as I have a euro-style multi-point lock. It works perfectly with the door.

Not yet, as they don't have US version of the z-wave module. Going to try the wifi module with homekit and link it back to indigo via Node-Red.

No, you can't. Due to how multi-point locks work, is not possible. However, as soon as you pull the handle up, the lock engages. I like the mechanism.

I have the older version of this lock (with the keypad) and it works very well with the z-wave functionality. As said before you can’t lock the door because of the multipoint function (you need to lift the handle for that), but what it does (or at least what mine does) is it deactivated the handles so the latch that keeps the door closed effectively becomes a night latch.. and it automatically does this after 60 second.. so it stops someone from being able to just walk in your front door.

@durosity

Thanks.

Having trouble understanding the night latch element?

Can you elaborate?

Also, will I be able to detecting Indigo whether a door is locked or unlocked - ie if we start the Goodnight routing AND the doors are not lifted up and locked - could Indigo detect that?

ie then make an announcement using Alexa 'front door not locked'

?

Re: Yale Conexis Smart Door Lock - with Zwave Plus Module

So you know how when you close the door the latch holds it in place, then when you depress the handle the latch retracts? Well with my lock (I assume it’s the same with the connexis) the handle disconnects from the whole mechanisms, so that latch that holds it in place effectively becomes a lock because the outdoor handle can no longer open that latch.

As for the status.. it won’t tell you if the multi point is in place or not (I have an additional sensor for that) but it will tell you if it’s “locked” as in if the outside handle is active or not. Again.. assuming it works like mine.

Fantastic, thank you!

Can you share how you confirm multi point lock is engaged?

Again thanks for the info

Re: Yale Conexis Smart Door Lock - with Zwave Plus Module

I’ve glued a little magnet to a bit of the multipoint lock, and inside the slot it goes into there’s a magnetic contact sensor which it makes contact with. That sensor is just wired in as a zone on my alarm system, but it could be connected to almost anything that works that way. The tricky part is positioning, but once you get it right it works well.
