Should discovery work with Echo Spot?

First caveat... I'm new to Alexa :)
Installed the plugin, 3.0.29. Alexa is unable to 'discover' an indigo switch device I called floor lamp.

Also tried with Alexa App on iPhone X.

Event log shows me turning discovery on/off and that floor lamp is publishing when I restart the plugin.
Checked port 1900, nothing running on it unless discovery is on.
Plugin is using port 8178.

Before I start again from scratch I thought I'd ask if anyone has been successful to discover with Echo Spot.
I saw the notation re Echo Show not discovering so maybe Echo Spot in same boat?

The plugin requires that there be at least one of the following Echo devices in your network: Echo 1st gen, Echo dot 1st or 2nd gen. They are required to do discovery and communication though once you have one of them then any Echo on your network will work (by routing to the supported Echo).

Thanks Jay. That’s kinda what I thought might be the case. Going shopping :)

Magic. Worked as advertised as soon as I added the Dot 2nd Gen.
Even lucked out as BestBuy was getting rid of gen2's. Saved 30 bucks.
Doesn't happen to me very often :)
