Alexa not performing actions

I just upgraded from v1 to v3 of the plugin. v1 worked pretty much without fail. Now I have this repeatable case where asking Alexa to turn on Kitchen Lights (for example) I get the double gong. If I ask Alexa to discover devices (even though it does not find any new devices) the command works for a while.

I am using a Linksys Velop 3-node WiFi network.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Jim

Difficult to suggest a solution for these type of problems. :|

How many Echos are you using and is the kitchen light the only device that isn't working.
How many devices do you have defined to Alexa via the plugin and how many Alexa-Hue bridge devices do you have defined?

If you leave it 15 seconds or so and repeat the command, does it work?

I bet.

I have three Echos in the house and when it does not work it does not work from any of them. I have one Alexa-Hue bridge defined with five action groups. When things don't work none of the action groups work. I usually try again right away but next time it stops responding I'll be sure to wait the 15 seconds.

Thanks.

Turns out the Alexa app had multiple definitions for the virtual devices. Maybe left over from the v1 plug-in? I deleted them all using the Alexa app and re-discovered. Things are working once again!

That's good to know - glad it is now working for you. :)
