Re: Whats wrong?

Hi Bildhauer,

A couple of things:

1) You have made a change to the Office Switch (Taster Büro) that is still pending (the red "change pending" in the device list).
2) If you are using the four buttons for Scene Control (which it looks like) then I would change the "Button 2 and 4 mode" to be Independent, the same as "Button 1 and 3"

Once you've done those, and waited for the switch to wakeup and accept the changes, give it another try.

If you don't get anywhere, download my ZWave Watcher plugin, create a ZWave Watcher device and point it at your switch, then press some buttons on your switch.

If the switch is sending anythinig, it will show in the Indigo log what it's sending then I can decode it and help you further.

Re: Whats wrong?

I've done what you said. Pressing the buttons of the witch the log tells me:

Z-Wave Watcher Debug Raw command received (Node 181): 01 0B 00 04 00 B5 05 5B 03 65 00 01 7C
Z-Wave received "Taster Büro" scene 6 (0006)
Z-Wave Watcher Debug Raw command received (Node 181): 01 0B 00 04 00 B5 05 5B 03 66 00 06 78
Z-Wave received "Taster Büro" scene 5 (0005)
Z-Wave Watcher Debug Raw command received (Node 181): 01 0B 00 04 00 B5 05 5B 03 67 00 05 7A

That all looks correct.

I'm not sure how you're receiving scene 6 or 5 from that device since it only has four buttons, but a trigger on Button (1, 5 or 6) with Click action is correct.

You can turn on debug mode for the ZWave Scene Controller but it will only tell you what i've just said.

Re: Whats wrong?

Hello Peter,

but the Scene Controller doesn't do the expected action (light on or off).

IS the switch itself setup wrongly (see attachment)?

Best regards

Re: Whats wrong?

That’s a different device to the one you sent before I think?

I would have buttons 1&3 and 2&4 set to Independent like I suggested for the office switch, but the rest looks ok.

Turn Zwave scene controller debug on. (Interfaces > plugins > Zwave scene controller > configure > debug)

Then send button clicks again and see what shows.

Re: Whats wrong?

This is the outcome with "debug on":

received "Taster Büro" scene 1 (0001)
Z-Wave Watcher Debug Raw command received (Node 181): 01 0B 00 04 00 B5 05 5B 03 8A 00 01 93
Z-Wave received "Taster Büro" scene 3 (0003)
Z-Wave Watcher Debug Raw command received (Node 181): 01 0B 00 04 00 B5 05 5B 03 8B 00 03 90
Z-Wave received "Taster Büro" scene 2 (0002)
Z-Wave Watcher Debug Raw command received (Node 181): 01 0B 00 04 00 B5 05 5B 03 8C 00 02 96
Z-Wave received "Taster Büro" scene 4 (0004)
Z-Wave Watcher Debug Raw command received (Node 181): 01 0B 00 04 00 B5 05 5B 03 8D 00 04 91
Z-Wave received "Zwischenstecker Thunderbolt-Monitor 2 (rechts)" power load to 66.80 W

The actions to be done when button 1 has been clicked is not working.

Re: Whats wrong?

Ah, apologies!!!

I completely forgot that you need a ZWave Scene Controller device before you can use the triggers.

Please create a Device > Zwave Scene Controller > Scene Controller and pick your switch from the list.

Then try again.

There's quite a bit of info in the debug that I need to tidy up, but the top bit tells you the buttons and actions.

Re: Whats wrong?

Hi

Grab https://github.com/howartp84/ZWaveScene ... tag/1.0.41

It's so long since I wrote that code (and left the code a mess) that it needs tidying.

The above version will let me see what's happening.

Re: Whats wrong?

I don’t know what you mean by official but I wouldn’t have told you to install it if it wasn’t to be installed.
