Is this getting started guide still accurate now that the new integrated version has been released? Also, I am running 10.8.5 and am unable to download Xcode from the app store. Is there an alternative download, or do I really need it?

Just install HBB, it's all in there now, you do not need to follow the Webdeck instructions for getting HB up and running.

Super. Also, since I am totally new to all this, is there a listing of the functions or screenshots that you or other users have put together to show the capabilities? I am really starting from the very beginning with my knowledge of HomeKit, Homebridge etc., but it sounds tremendously promising, especially being able to select different functionalities versus Indigo touch.

Finally, it looks like you have been able to integrate RTSP cameras into HBB. Are RTSP cameras now accessible via Indigo Touch if HBB is implemented?

To be clear, the "integration" of the cameras in HBB is purely for if you do a hand-install of Homebridge in addition to having HBB. The hand-install is for "the stuff that HBB doesn't do on it's own" while HBB is for "everything Indigo". I'm working on incorporating more into he stock build but for now it's just Indigo.

You don't need to have your cameras integrated into Touch really because they will be integrated into the Home app on iOS 10. I've gotten to the point that is the only one I use these days - but that's just me and my change in focus from control page centric home automation to voice centric.

In a related question; what is the proper way to update HBB? When I use the regular download, open, and click "Install and Enable" I have remove and re-add HBB to HomeKit; which leads me to believe I'm doing it wrong.
Sorry if this is covered elsewhere and I missed it.

I'm not sure why you have to remove and reload your configuration, if you don't remove it what happens? Essentially your configuration is a folder saved within your plugin contents so when you install a new version it should merge the contents of the new version with your old version, retaining the original configuration. I'll have to do some testing to see if that is not happening for one reason or another but this is the first I've heard of the problem.

To clarify, when I update the HBB plugin, I get a "No Response" message on all my HBB devices on the Home app. The only way I've found to fix it is to remove the HBB bridge from the app and re-add it; then everything works.

I want to say a VERT BIG Thank you for this!!!!

AMAZING WORK.

Once I actually printed and read the 5 *.adoc files in the Homebridge-Master folder, installation and setup was a breeze.

Thank you again for this, and I can't wait for further updates!!!!!
