HomeKit Bridge Minimum Requirements?

I have been using and programming Indigo for 10 years. I have HomeKit Bridge running successfully at home, and I am trying to install it at work. I have a working HomeKit network with an iPad hub and one device. The HomeKit Bridge plugin is installed, and I have created the necessary Bridge Device with one HomeKit Alias device in Indigo, but neither the Home app on my iPhone nor on my Mac can "see" the bridge or device.

I am running Indigo 7.3 on a Mac Mini running Mac OS 10.10 Yosemite. That OS is too old to run Home or HomeKit. Is there a minimum server Mac OS to run HomeKit Bridge?

I'm not sure how HK Bridge communicates with the hub or other devices. Does the server running Indigo and HomeKit bridge need WiFi or Bluetooth enabled if it is connected by ethernet to an Airport wireless router?

I read in a recent forum post that the "HB User" in the HomeKit Bridge server configuration should be the MAC address of the server. Is this really true? Should it be the MAC address of the WiFi hardware (as opposed to the Ethernet port)?

I searched everywhere for answers to these questions and couldn't find them. Thanks for any help!
