USG4 gateway stability issue

my setup:

1GB ATT -- ATT modem -- unifi GW USG-pro4

When I set the ATT modem to "bridge" mode = send all traffic to the USG I get ~ 3-5 times a day network interruptions = no internet for about 30-60 secs

When I set the ATT modem to regular router w double NATting (ATT+ USG) everything works fine

I can run ping to google.com and the ATT modem and both stop at the same time = connection between USG and ATT modem is not working , it is the same time when regular internet access stops too.

I thought that setting ATT modem to bridge mode would be the easier, better solution ..

any ideas / suggestions?

Any alerts or events logged in the UniFi controller?

Re: USG4 gateway stability issue

Force the WAN port of the USG to 1000FDX, it may be an auto negotiation issue, I know this can be a fix for UDMP, have not heard of it for the USG4. Might be worth a shot.

I also had to use static DNS servers as oppose to the ones provided via DHCP form my ISP. (assuming your ISP is serving IP va DHCP)

no

>>Force the WAN port of the USG to 1000FDX,
that should affect both setups, no change in hardware

interesting, could that affect a simple ping to the ATT modem? ping to the modem does not need dns and that ping stops too.
