+1 for this thread, swapped out my USG to a UDM Pro last week, had all sorts of issues and had to set it up from scratch...

Have enabled SSH on all devices and the UDM Pro but getting a spam of
uniFiAP Error getMessages: (1 - test connect) error for SWdict, ip#: 192.168.0.182 wrong ip/ password or system down or ssh timed out or ..?
uniFiAP Error testServerIf ssh connection OK: userid>><<, passwd>><< wrong for APdict-192.168.0.238

Not sure what I should be checking / unchecking at the moment so will keep an eye on this thread, it looks like it's all in hand already :)

There are 3 userid/ password sets
Make sure you have set them correctly.

Regular ssh to ap sw etc
Ssh to UDM
Http to UDM

[EDIT]switch on expect debug. and in plugin.log you can see the command line used. that should tell you if your userid.. etc are correct

Bingo, that's all the AP's and switches now OK. Just the UDM Pro Controller itself not working for me now, not sure if I should be using a root / password or my Unifi cloud login details here? (Or if it works yet in the plugin)

The UDM has 2 userids
One is the http
The other ssh

What ever you use to get to the system

do a browser http session and a terminal ssh session to the UDM . Use those.

I must be missing something here as still getting failed in the log when I can login via SSH and browser OK.

I've set the ssh unix UDM UserID and password to root and my password, although it seems to be giving me a HTML error.

In the Controller section I've got UDM Mode for WiFi.
192.168.0.1 for the controller and port 443, everything else left default.
I've got UDM Active checked and also set to the IP address.

could you do a print config parameters to logfile in menu print parameters..
that should list the users and passwords used
the http userid/passwd is "hardwired" to

Got this - and the UN/PW all look OK. I tried changing the username from my email address to my actual username and still the same error.

check the controller settings in config, SHOULD be for the UDM-pro like this

naturally w your ip# of the UDMpro
I believe your settings are for the UDM not the pro
but try it out

Ahhh, so I had a few things wrong here I think.

I had no drop down for UDM-Pro as controller info I had set to UDM Mode.
Also the http" API Web and Login page URL's were wrong.
I also had the section below checked for UDM Active, which I'm guessing isn't needed for the Pro?

I've restarted the plugin a couple of times and no longer getting a string of errors, so that sounds good!

Just got a UDM, not pro, and am excited about this plugin. However, try as I might, I keep getting a login error for the UDM. I have read the entire thread. Here's the persistent error:

It's set up at 10.0.1.1. I can SSH into the UDM with root@10.0.1.1 then password with no problem.

which webID ? the site ID that is default?
leave that at default !!!! As mentioned in the other thread only if you have very complex setup with various sites this name can be something else than default

I should remove that option.

Hi Karl

I wonder if you can add CPU support for the UDM Pro to a future release. Since UDMP is more than just the network controller CPU temp doesn't seem to come from the network controller API via curl but you can get to it via SSH: with the sensors -u command. temp1_input is the value. My use case isn't totally mission critical. I just thing it would be interesting to graph temp over time in Grafana.

please try: https://github.com/kw123/unifi/releases/tag/v7.30.250

still has debug statements: you should see 1/minute the ssh command and then the resulting return from the UDP-pro
and it will try to update the states

mapping:
UDMP value .... indigo dev state (GW)
temp1_input --> temperature
temp2_input --> temperature_Board_CPU
temp3_input --> temperature_Board_PHY

this is not tested, as I don't have a UDM(pro)
