unifi hardware issues

just had my second failure:

1. Camera, lost IR controll
2. in wall Wifi AP went dead
both where ~ 4 months old so under warranty ,
After requesting an RMA (took 1 hour to get in eMail), 3 days ground shipping ($12 each) to unifi and 4 days return, I got replacements.

Any one else having HW issues?

in total I have:
-12 switches,
-12 cameras,
-1 USG 4 (and a USG3 in reserve)
-1 cloud key Pro 2
so about 9% error rate .. some of the switches are 2 years old, no issues with them

Had an ER3 lite die a few months ago that I replaced with USG. Was out of warranty and not sure if it was due to overheating in the server rack, but was secretly glad to have excuse to switch to the USG.

No HW issues, but I did have a pesky bug on a ER-POE5 that UBNT never sorted. The router would routinely lose WAN DHCP which was a real hassle.

Since switching to UniFi, no trouble at all.

I have a G3 with the IR issue, 5 months out of Warrenty and the RMA was denied, mind you a UBNT employee just posted that they would like to get the failed cameras back to their engineers, so perhaps they will reconsider.

I'm not impressed that it was denied as it is obviously a serious manufacturing defect from the size of the thread over there. I was reccomending Ubiquiti to everyone I know, now I'm not so sure. :(

So after all they ended up authorizing an RMA for my G3 that the IR had failed, looks like I get a nice new G3-AF, for that I bought another G3-AF to replace the failed camera during the RMA process.

Thats the kind of customer service you would expect!
