Setup Issues

Since I upgraded not sure why I do not see all my LAN and WIFI devices. I do not even see my GW anymore

GW: 192.168.1.1
AP - 0: 192.168.1.5
AP-1 : 192.168.1.6

Here are my settings:

Any suggestions as to why all my devices are not showing up and why my gateway is not showing up. I should have about 75 devices listed....?

Are the devices deleted? Or what is meant by do not show up?
Anything in the logfile ?
...

I reinstalled the all. Not sure why devices would be deleted? If they were how do I get them back? I have restarted the plugin etc.

Karl how do I reset everything and reinstall. My iphone is not showing up under the UNIFI_created folderwven though it is on the network. Do I need to restart the USG and AP also?

and 192.168.1.1 is sending messages and the login reads the database / dict from the gateway.

are you sure that the devices are deleted?

in order to start from scratch:

1. stop the plugin
2. delete all unified devices
3. delete the unifi prefs file in indigo ../ preferences in the indigo server directory
3. delete the ~indigo/unifi directory
5.restart the plugin

I was under the impression that it would?

Not sure what the above error is all about?

ok got the error to go away when I turned of watchdog plugin. Still missing the GW showing up in the device list however?

the connection to the gateway does not start. it only tests the connection... need to see which the exact command string is. ... later this week.

could you run in a terminal on the indigo Mac

May be the hosts file has an old entry.

If that is the case delete the line with 192.168.1.1 in the hosts file.

I get the same response when I ssh into the GWIP as I posted in the prior terminal command.

What is the location of the host file? and command to list?

That all looks ok. Is there any significant time delay when ssh to the gateway?

Your hosts file is ok. It’s a hidden file in ~/.ssh or something like that
