AP suddenly refusing connections?

I realize the stated reason for this is "wrong ip/ password or system down or ssh timed out or ..? "

but any thoughts on why this
Code: Select all
uniFiAP Error                   testServerIf ssh connection to server failed, cmd: /usr/bin/expect '/Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 2022.1/Plugins/uniFiAP.indigoPlugin/Contents/Server Plugin/test.exp' ‘user’ ‘pass’ 192.168.x.xxx
uniFiAP Error                   getMessages: (1 - test connect)  error for APdict, ip#: 192.168.x.xxx, prompt:'9# '; wrong ip/ password or system down or ssh timed out or ..?
might spontaneously occur when

1. No changes to the AP, the UDM, Indigo or the Unifi plugin

2. The Unifi status page shows no problems with the AP

I'm guessing the inner workings of the AP got into a funky state, as it seems that a reboot of the AP fixed it.

Re: AP suddenly refusing connections?

Seems I spoke too soon. This same error is back.

Re: AP suddenly refusing connections?

I have users reporting a similar issue when using the mini-Unifi plugin. Are you sure your controller software didn't update? Users are also experiencing delays loading the controller app in a web browser. I think that something in the new controller software is borked.

Re: AP suddenly refusing connections?

I have auto updates turned off. I'm definitely behind the current release.

Re: AP suddenly refusing connections?

I'm getting the same thing with my UDMP running unifiOS 1.12.33 and network app 7.2.95 (but interestingly is creating camera devices for me from that same UDMP and network switch, etc). I'm wondering if it's maybe something to do with this problem?

Re: AP suddenly refusing connections?

I’m still not sure what was going on, but the issue has not recurred.

Re: AP suddenly refusing connections?

I'm still having this issue. I'm pretty certain it's due to

https://community.ui.com/questions/Remo ... 969598653d

If I run the same command in terminal I get this:

Code: Select all
Mike@Aardmay Server Plugin % /usr/bin/expect '/Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 2022.1/Plugins/uniFiAP.indigoPlugin/Contents/Server Plugin/test.exp' 'root' 'REDACTED' 192.168.1.1
spawn ssh root@192.168.1.1
Unable to negotiate with 192.168.1.1 port 22: no matching host key type found. Their offer: ssh-rsa
expect: spawn id exp6 not open
    while executing
"expect eof"
    (file "/Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 2022.1/Plugins/uniFiAP.indigoPlugin/Contents/Server Plugin/test.exp" line 20)

If I connect to the UDMP using 'ssh -v -oHostKeyAlgorithms=+ssh-rsa root@192.168.1.1' it connects. Alas I'm now at a loss as to what I can try. :?
