SSL: UNKNOWN_PROTOCOL

SSL: UNKNOWN_PROTOCOL

I have controller running on a mac, and for a white the controller was not running. This triggered some communication issues that does not go away even if I reload the plugin. Maybe the error have nothing to do with the controller being away...I don't know.

The error I have in the log is the following:

Code: Select all
uniFiAP Error                   in Line 4252 has error=[SSL: UNKNOWN_PROTOCOL] unknown protocol (_ssl.c:590)   Connection


What am I doing wrong?

Maybe the issue is that I have my mac running indigo is an old MacOSX version that do not handle new(er) SSL/TLS versions, while the UniFi controller runs on a mac which is up to date?

Could a manual update of python on the indigo box help?

No. That just breaks things. You need to update the OS on the Indigo system.

If you use the UniFi plugin Try to switch to curl in config. That might work. Curl might be more modern than the python library.
UniFi plugin offers both. Curl and python socket comm.
