2 out of 3 voting

With more and more multisensors I find my self with several data sources for the same object.
I have for instance now 3 sources for outdoor temperature. I would be ideal if Device Extensions could calculate the average of these values if the are within a certain range of each other.

Example 1:
Sensor 1: 20 deg C
Sensor 2: 18 deg C
Sensor 3: 21 deg C
Average value: 19,6 deg C

Example 2:
Sensor 1: 20 deg C
Sensor 2: 18 deg C
Sensor 3: 15 deg C (due to low bat or bad data etc.)
Average value: 19 deg C
In this example sensor 3 is excluded for the calculation because it is out of a given range.

Could this be done with device extensions?

That's been on my list for a long time as I have use for that as well. I'll see about getting that added soon.
