I thought I selected the wrong device in the device settings, however as you can see the 002 - Notification Sensor is not selected.

Disabling the plugin and re-enabling it does not fix the problem. It just starts trying to turn off the Sensor.

Re: Powermiser Plugin

I'm not sure why it would do that, I've never had a loop like that. I'm wondering if there is NOTHING selected there and it is defaulting to that sensor because it's the first device. Try selecting a switch or something on the list to see if that fixes it. Maybe the Class Room Fan Light?

Re: Powermiser Plugin

I changed the motion sensor name so its the last item on the list and it still goes after the sensor. I also tried to rename to something completely different with no spaces and it still has the same problem. Any other ideas?

Re: Powermiser Plugin

Are you sure it isn't one of the other Powermiser devices you have? It looks like you have at least 5 of them. I don't think it is the release because I have a dozen of these running without this issue.

Re: Powermiser Plugin

I checked all of the power miser devices and each one has something selected other then the motion sensor. I start deleting one at a time and I'll let you know what I find.

Re: Powermiser Plugin

So, I deleted one device at a time. Once I deleted the last device the looping stopped. I have recreated the devices and so far no looping.

Re: Powermiser Plugin

It looks like you are doing something odd somewhere. That method is only called if a variable is deleted and if a variable is constantly being deleted and added and deleted then that would explain the odd behavior. The code quite literally does nothing in the plugin, so the fact that we get infinite recursions on that line 302 means that Indigo is calling up the method - which only would happen if a variable got deleted.

It's also curious that it started up on its own after initially being fine. This is pointing to some other action or schedule or trigger that is actually causing this entire problem. I would right click on that motion sensor, find all dependencies and see if you can find a schedule or trigger that might be firing.

Note that we are never seeing an ON command, so we aren't turning something off as a result of a Powermiser device, it is a reaction from Powermiser because something else is happening in Indigo and it is reporting it. It's odd that it is reporting it because those messages should be debug messages, what log level for Powermiser do you have set? Part of what PM is doing is listening for ALL traffic in your home automation and running routines to determine if that traffic impacts a PM device, so that motion sensor going on and off all the time (or if you have some action or trigger that turns it off constantly) would register with PM as an event to examine and according to the logs you posted it's not doing anything with it, just registering the changes.

If I were to guess I would say you have some routine that is creating and removing variables regularly and another that is turning off your motion sensor.

My Modest Contributions to Indigo:

Re: Powermiser Plugin

I recently moved, so this is a new system that I'm working on and everything is still pretty simple. I don't have many triggers and variables yet. I checked the dependencies and the motion has none.
