Don't see Homebridge in home kit app

After running homebridge -D in terminal my HomeKit app doesn't see homebridge. It looks like home bridge loaded.

here is my config.json file and below that what I got in terminal after running homebridge -D

Any ideas? Please help.

You need to edit the config.json. You left all of the examples in place, including "includeIds" - that means it will only include the devices that match those Indigo device IDs. Since the sample IDs are made up, none of your Indigo devices match, so none were included.

If you just want a basic config, I would recommend deleting all of these lines:

I deleted those lines and ran homebridge -D from terminal again, however I still don't see home bridge in the home kit app.

Any other ideas?

Okay, there aren't any errors there, so it should be discoverable. Is the server on the same network as your phone?

You can try resetting everything on your phone and homebridge. Here are the steps:

Stop homebridge
Delete the folder ~/.homebridge/persist - in Terminal: rm -fr ~/.homebridge/persist
On your phone, Settings -> Privacy -> HomeKit -> Reset HomeKit Configuration

Then restart homebridge and try to add it on your phone.

Don't see Homebridge in home kit app

There are no errors in my homebridge -D log either and I know that it has been discoverable as I have been able to add it to my HomeKit using Insteon+. The devices are all there but greyed out and the app cannot communicate with them.

If I delete the homebridge device and re-add then it is discoverable again?

I don't want to have to do this every time this happens as it is a pain in the proverbial to have to setup the entire house several times a week.

If you're running it in a Terminal window, just press Control-C.

If you started it with the LaunchAgents script, then run launchctl unload -w ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.webdeck.homebridge.plist To restart it, change unload to load.

IT gets even more interesting now - I can actually see and control all of my devices from a single iPhone but all of my other devices are having issues connecting...
