Follow-up: Nonda tech support sent me a new Akio device. The same issue with the new device as the previous one. The firmware has stayed the same over the past couple of years (comparing the new Akio devices with the firmware on Karl's old Akio). The only change has been with the software on the Nonda side, the Akio app was replaced by the Nonda "Car Key Finder" app.

To ensure this wan't a user error, I added a Innway card to the ecosystem. The Innway card has operated flawlessly.

I am curious to know if anyone else has had the same issue with Akio and if anyone ever found a work-around for it.

I got a new Aiko and yes mine also does not work any more. Returned it to Amazon.
