Remove all beacons and start over?

Hi,

Got this running yesterday and it did not take long before I had 30+ beacons generated. I have now set a min RSSI for new beacons but I would like to start over and register them in a controlled fashion :) Is it possible to remove all beacons and start over w/o the mac-addresses being blocked or ignored?

Remove all beacons and start over?

Delete all beacons in indigo
Menu: Set rssi to -40 in accept new beacons
Menu: delete history
Menu: send ... : push config to rpis

The last one will cut short the refresh of config on your rpis

Put your beacon next to the rpi

Then create a folder “ real beacons” in addition to the new beacon folder

Once a beacon shows up in new folder and you id it move it to the “real beacons” folder and rename the indigo device.

“Real beacon” folder can be anything you like.

If you have any of the supported beacon types you can select those in menu/accept new beacons in stead of using rssi to accept new beacons. That is much easier.

You can also run detect new ... beacons tool.

That will give you a formatted print out of all beacons in the reach of the rpi you run it on

It will show mfg name and some other info.
The print out is in plugin.log in the logs/com.karlwachs.pibeacon directory in indigo

Hope that helps

Karl
