PiBeacon 2047 Error

Hi Karl,

I have been using your piBeacon plugin in the sensor only form. It works great with the various sensors and inputs I have thrown at it so far. I shut my entire system down for a day to relocate and since bringing everything back up I am seeing following error: calcPitoPidist in Line '2047' has error=''key PosXYZ not found in dict'

It does not seem to have any adverse effects on the use of piBeacon as I am using it but seeing the error every 20 seconds in the Indigo log.

I captured an example of portions of the Indigo log file and a couple of the config files. Appreciate any guidance to resolve. Thank you for your time and efforts.

Re: PiBeacon 2047 Error

Karl,

Thanks for the speedy reply!

Yes, no piBeacons and yes the Sensor Only are 10 +. I only have one rpi at this time and it is #10.

Re: PiBeacon 2047 Error

should be fixed in v .231

but you do have at least one RPI 0..9 active that is not properly defined.

Re: PiBeacon 2047 Error

Karl,

That fixed it. This plugin and your continued support of it are amazing! Thank you. :D

Regarding the other Pi that is not properly defined....When I started using the piBeacon plugin I started with all the services using iBeacon support and the rpi was on #1. I moved that rpi from 1 to 10 for the sensor only support.

Unlike you, I had no idea what I was doing but got it moved and maybe my methods botched something along the process? I haven't had any issues with piBeacon though except for this very recent issue. I have looked through the piBeacon plugin menus and do not see any reference to a pi other than #10.

Thanks,
Jody

Re: PiBeacon 2047 Error

Can you go to initial setup and check if there is anything for pi#0 1..
If so disable it

Could you email me the file RPIconfig in ~/indigo/pibeacon

To Karlwachs at me dot com
Thanks

Re: PiBeacon 2047 Error

Karl,

Do not see any other pi's listed in the initial setup. Sending email.

Thanks,
Jody

Re: PiBeacon 2047 Error

Karl,

I should have said the pi was originally on 0 not 1.

In the rpiconf file I emailed, I see that the "piDevid":879036091 still remains on "0":

It is the same "piDevid": that is currently in use on "10":

Thanks,
Jody

Re: PiBeacon 2047 Error

Yes that’s the problem. Don’t know how you managed to create that.

You cold do
Stop Pibeacon
Edit piconfig
Set Id of rpi0 to 0
Save
Restart pibeacon

But do not use the default editor
It will change the “ to curly “ then the file is bad
So do a backup first of the whole pibeacon directory

Text wrangler or alike will work

Re: PiBeacon 2047 Error

Karl,

OK. Followed those instructions and all looks good on piBeacon startup.

Thanks again for ALL your time and a SUPER plugin.

Re: PiBeacon 2047 Error

Actually I made a mistake. posted a new version.

- also has 2 new sensors: RG11 optical rain sensor and another temp/humidity sensor
