Re: indigo utilities discussion

Hi Karl,

This looks like a very useful plug-in. However, WRT the database backup function, I think I'm confused on a basic point. I get an error in the backup log about /Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 6/logs/indigo_history.sqlite being missing. Indeed I have no such file anywhere on my server. What is this file and how is it created? The only Indigo database I know of is <My_House_Name>.indiDb in the /Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo/Databases directory.

Thanks.

Re: indigo utilities discussion

Hello Dave,

This is only useful when you use the SQL Logger Plugin (listed in the default Plugin list).
See for more info:

Kind regards,

John

Re: indigo utilities discussion

Nice work! It could also be handy to have it output something like 'success' or 'failure' to a variable for triggering actions.

Computer says no.

Re: indigo utilities discussion

Karl,

Trying to use the plugin per your suggestion and getting the error:

File "plugin.py", line 94, in startup
OSError: (2, 'No such file or directory', '/Users/house.roque/Documents/indigoUtilities/')

I remember having a similar issue with your piBeacon plugin because of the unique name of my user directory. Tried creating the directory manual, but didn't work.

Any suggestion?

JP

Re: indigo utilities discussion

v 1.7.3

should fix this. This is the problem where I used userid to determine the home directory. and if that was not the same ...

Re: indigo utilities discussion

Karl,

Thank you for the path fix. However, I ran into another issue. As per the enclosed image, the device states are not showing. I have reinstalled the plugin and tried many devices. None of states show.

Any suggestions?

JP

Re: indigo utilities discussion

click on "Select device" that will refresh the states.

this is a thing I don't like about the indigo interface: in order to get the fields sequentially addressed one has to go through hoops. So if sometimes the user needs to refresh some of the fields to make sure the required data is populated properly

sorry

Karl
