Looking for a bit of info

So I've got a few LIFX strips, but they can be expensive to run very far, so I'm looking for some less expensive options. I think I have a good handle on how the FIBARO plugin works with Indigo and the RGBW Controller, but I'm trying to get a handle on how the controller works with LED strips. In theory, I assume one connects the strip to the controller, but most of the strips I've seen have their own controller... Does one just chop off the existing controller and hard wire whats left to the FIBARO controller?

I guess what I'm looking for is where to buy LED strips that would be easy/easier to wire to the FIBARO RGBW controller....

Re: Looking for a bit of info

SUPERNIGHT LED Strip Light, 5050 16.4ft RGBW Non-waterproof LED Flexible Lighting, 12V 300LEDs, 5M Multi-colored LED Tape Lights

I have found that something like the above will work well with the Fibaro RGBW controller. I should note, however, two of the wires were flipped in the one I bought. Other than having to flip those two wires, the strip works perfectly and is quite bright.

I came here to drink milk and kick ass....and I've just finished my milk.

Of course.

Be cautious to make sure that you buy the RGBW version and not the RGB version depending on your controller.
