I believe that this is an entirely different animal from what the Fib is designed for. The LED strips needed to make this kind of thing work need to be addressable.

Turn on LED 1
Turn on LED 2
Turn off LED 1
Turn on LED 3
Turn off LED 2
As far as I know, the Fib can only turn on/off the color channel--that is, all green on or all green off. I don't think there's a facility to turn on the 3rd Green LED. I don't even know what would happen if you hooked up an addressable strip to the Fib. That said, there may be LED controllers (or an Arduino as in the example on the website above) that could be controlled with a plugin.
