Individual LED patterns

Is there any chance that the Fibaro RGBW plus an LED strip can do patterns on individual LED's?

Such as here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSOHW3ORAUk

Be great to have a moving pattern rather than just changing the colour on the entire strip. Not sure if this is a limitation on the strip / controller I have though?

Re: Individual LED patterns

I believe that this is an entirely different animal from what the Fib is designed for. The LED strips needed to make this kind of thing work need to be addressable.

Simple scenario:
Turn on LED 1
Turn on LED 2
Turn off LED 1
Turn on LED 3
Turn off LED 2

As far as I know, the Fib can only turn on/off the color channel--that is, all green on or all green off. I don't think there's a facility to turn on the 3rd Green LED. I don't even know what would happen if you hooked up an addressable strip to the Fib. That said, there may be LED controllers (or an Arduino as in the example on the website above) that could be controlled with a plugin.

If anyone knows different, please correct me.

Re: Individual LED patterns

You might want to look at an Adafruit device called Fadecandyhttps://www.adafruit.com/products/1689. Allows individual pixel control over 512 pixels, used with Open Pixel Control, allows for individual control over addressable LEDs. All controllable by Python and thus Indigo.
