New Error after updating plugin

Hello Karl,

My system has been running for months without me doing anything. Well last week I decided to update all my plugins and now I'm getting the following errors from FingScan.

The option for "use piBeacon and use Unifi devices" is disabled, so I'm not sure what attributes it's looking for. FYI: I am using your Unifi plugin, however Im not sure why I never enabled it here in FingScan.

You can see my setting at the bellow link

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help.

No worries, Whenever you get a chance is great.

No I did not upgrade the OS.

I also posted about the Unifi plugin.

Thanks

Re: New Error after updating plugin

I have a similar issue. Mine keeps restarting but complains about a password not being set, and also times out accessing the config. I have deleted the plugin and prefs, restarted the server and downloaded a new version and still get the same problem.

I also run unifi and pibeacon.

Any ideas, I would like to get back to using this to track network devices as unifi doesnt give me a trigger on new devices on network.

Re: New Error after updating plugin

that's a catch 22..
can't find password,
then fing is not starting,
then restart

I can put some time.sleep(120) in to give you 2 minutes to edit config

Karl

later tonight

Re: New Error after updating plugin

please checkout v .39 posted on the plugin store.

you need to:
- download .. (make sure name is not ....-2 in the download folder)
-(re)- load,
-wait 10 secs
-then edit config
-and save
-manual reload of plugin

that should do it.

Re: New Error after updating plugin

@ ryanbuckner:
do you see any other errors?
it looks as if you can enter password ..
and could you share the plugin.log file, it gives more details..
and always post the version and the first line from the plugin in the logs

I assume its v 7.30.39?
