sudo: 1 incorrect password attempt

I'm getting the following error after installing fingscan:

    sudo: 1 incorrect password attempt
fingscan mk fing dir Password:Sorry, try again.

I have an ASUS RT-N66U with Merlin 376.56_2 Firmware where I've configured fingscan to use the setting ASUS/MERLIN < 378_54

My password for router has an & sign in it - I don't know if that is significant?

Where it says Enter YOUR MAC password: it says password is already stored yet I never entered this information in, so I didn't bother with it at first but later entered this information in, which fixed the above error.

I also get this error about 5 times upon startup:

seems that FING is not active - no change in data, restarting fing, seconds since last change: 280.016839981

Then I get every second in the Indigo event log window filling up the screen:

    wifi data received not complete(len=0)

:?: Is there any way I can stop this?

Re: sudo: 1 incorrect password attempt

The wifi data received not complete(len=0) messages now appear to have stopped after several minutes.

Now I've got it working I'm actually starting to enjoy this plugin - it's early days but it seems to be working better than Smartphone Radar for detecting my iPhone :)

Re: sudo: 1 incorrect password attempt

So did you change password? Or did it fix itself magically?
There is one problem that will take some minutes to resolve.
Asus routers only allow connections from one device. If you were logged in from a different device that the indigo server you will get these messages. Until the login times out. Then fingscan can login successfully and can grab the data.

Re: sudo: 1 incorrect password attempt

I kept my router password the same with the & symbol in it, but I manually entered in the MAC password which it said was already set so this threw me at first

Re: sudo: 1 incorrect password attempt

It checks if the password is not "please enter password". If not it assumes that you entered one and states "already entered".

Re: sudo: 1 incorrect password attempt

I'm pretty certain I didn't enter any passwords other than my Asus password, so I think this bit may not be working as intended - but I have been wrong before!
