possible configuration error and line smoothing error

Hi Karl... Couple things

1) I recently set up an "Events-Count" with one of my data sources (see attached). It works perfectly, when I set a reset of daily (using it to track hours on for a thermostat).
The problem is that , when I restart the indigo server, this configuration item does NOT save, and defaults back to nothing (again, see attached). I go back into Define/select data source, set it, and all is fine again until I reboot.

see line 5 "isheating"

I have also tried saving and restoring the configuration, but that does NOT seem to store the value either.

Help please

2) I have also been using line smoothing with one of the three GNU options. Again, this was working perfectly until a recent reboot. I am now UNABLE to have these smoothing options apply to any of my lines as set in the plotD device.
Not a big deal, but strange that it quit working as it was.

Again, Help please.

Thank in advance.

bop, could you use the version above, no changes in program just reporting.

then do menu: Print/Log Device/Variable source parameters

you should see something like this:
Code: Select all
19:13:12            -pending indigoCommands: ['PrintDeviceData']
Dev#,ID-Name,Status -State                 Measurement               offset   multipl  minValue  maxValue  ColfilGps   resetType                                     ---  nickName
1 28906680          -Dev- youGotMail  ok: 1
  # 1               -onOffState            average                      0.0       1.0    -200.0   50000.0    1     1           0                         youGotMail-On/Off-average
  # 2               -onOffState            sum                          0.0       1.0    -200.0   50000.0   32     1           0                             youGotMail-On/Off-sum
  # 3               -onOffState            eventCOUNT                   0.0       1.0    -200.0   50000.0   50     1         day                  youGotMail-On/Off-eventCOUNT-day
  # 4               -onOffState            eventCOUNT                   0.0       1.0    -200.0   50000.0   51     1        week                 youGotMail-On/Off-eventCOUNT-week
  # 5               -onOffState            eventCOUNT                   0.0       1.0    -200.0   50000.0   52     1       month                youGotMail-On/Off-eventCOUNT-month
2 282208849         -Dev- MotionSensorLivingRoom  ok: 1
  # 1               -onOffState            event                        0.0       1.0    -200.0   50000.0    2     1           0               MotionSensorLivingRoom-On/Off-event

That describes the data definitions, device, state, measurement, reset etc.

please
1. define a device/state with events like the one above .
2. save the definition,
3. run the report before and after 1&2
4. restart the plugin (wait 2 min for sql import to finish)
5. then run the report again.
6. then menu /define data source select that device and check if settings are preserved.

mine are .. if not i need to dig deeper.

Re: possible configuration error and line smoothing error

PS

I would uninstall "CLEAN MY MAC" .. looks very much like the scam from 2-3 years ago that screwed up MACs.. don't know if this is better, but my experience with these " delete hidden files etc " utilities is not good .

Re: possible configuration error and line smoothing error

Hi Karl...

Sent you PM with the results.

Thanx for the help

Dave

as for the Clean my Mac...

been running it for years, I'm usually pretty picky as to what I let it delete (i don't let it do anything automatically as I have run into the type of problems you noted in the past with other similar applications)

but I can definitely consider removing it if it's causing an issue.
