could you try this version. I added some debug statements and some error catching.
when you select a new / existing device you MUST click on CONFIRM first
anyway please try this one

I'll try tonight. The sequence was : create first field - no problem. Select the add field for my second field, select the device/variable, click on confirm, select the value to record and configure, click on the second confirm button - error message.
Saving the device only saves the first entry.

No change with new version
In the menu "Define/Select Data Sources":
create my first data source
1. click on add new data source
2. Select variable
3. click on confirm
4. State = "Value"
5. Measure = "Sum"
6. reset = " daily"
7. nickname = "Heat Duration"
8. confirm
--- data point is saved
Create my second data source
1. click on add new data source
2. Select variable
3. click on confirm
4. State = "Value"
5. Measure = "Sum"
6. reset = " daily"
7. nickname = "AC Duration"
8. confirm
--- data point is not saved
--- the status field at the top of data configuration says "E: DEVICE not selected"

Thanks
