Some electronic suggestions

I am using pokitmeter.com

It is a really nice tool that replaces a dvm and offers a very simple scope function.

The display is on your phone

Ps the company is in Australia but it is made in China like so many other things.

Some electronic suggestions

I was looking at getting one of them for use with my vintage computer restoration hobby. Looks like a pretty handy tool.

Edit: not sure why this came up in my unread posts as it was from months ago.. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Re: Some electronic suggestions

I have two - they are great — but there is one big problem (for me).

I use my meters every once in a while and these don’t have an on/off switch. So when I go to grab it — the battery is always dead - I don’t like to keep things on a charger and taking out the batteries involves too much for me.

Otherwise they are great. If they would build and sell a little thingy that replaces the battery with a slightly larger battery holder with an on/off switch I would pay good money for it.

Weird they don’t have an on off switch… I imagine they’re supposed to self power off but don’t for some reason?

Re: Some electronic suggestions

Sadly it is true - guess they did not think about the occasional user. So what ends up happening for me is…

I just end up grabbing one of my many other meters :-(
