replace flurescent w LED Under Cabinet Lighting

I like to replace ~ 10 120V fluorescent "Under Cabinet" light tubes of different sizes with nice looking LED light "strips"

I don't need to change color, but would like to drive with a regular in wall insteon dimmer.

any suggestions?

Thanks

Karl

I don’t know if this would work, but I’d try something with the cheap LED 12 volt strips, and using the 0-10vdc output of the Insteon Ballast dimmer. You obviously wouldn’t get full output of a 12 volt strip with 10 volts, but it might be enough. Or you could get the 5 Volts LEDs and just chop the voltage with an appropriate resistor, or wire two in series for 10V total load.

I think the difficult bit is the Insteon Dimmer part.

Would something like this work for you?

Well crap, sorry Karl. I had that on my too-long list of things to get to play with.

@dave
The constant voltage - variable current is an interesting option.

I would need to add several of these due to existing cabling. Currently 4 120v cables go from the switch to the different sections in the kitchen w 8 fluorescent light tubes
.... And opening walls to rewire is not an option.

Thanks for the input.

Karl
