Just ran across this on Reddit. YeeLights has opened up their API. And apparently it doesn't suck.

SmartThings refugee, so happy to be on Indigo. Monterey on a base M1 Mini w/Harmony Hub, Hue, DomoPad, Dynamic URL, Device Extensions, HomeKitLink, Grafana, Plex, uniFAP, Fantastic Weather, Nanoleaf, LED Simple Effects, Bond Home, Camect.

There is already a LIFX plugin available (see signature below) that doesn't rely on having the internet available to control your LIFX lamps - posted in case you weren't aware :)

would like to open it up again... I am kind of done with my big plugins. Little things here or there that might be added..

One of my ideas is to use an RPI to do voice commands. That would not require any internet connection like ALEXA

any other suggestions?

Karl, would that be speak or only take commands - except for Sonos there is no way to do speech w/o hardwiring your house - the BT stuff just does not work reliably .

Carnegie melon has a library that runs on rpi. It can be used to recognize words Then after recognition any Unix command can be executed.
The goal would be to setup a system that allows users to train the rpi, link words like “switch light on” to a script. That would travel to indigo and then an action can be executed.
