Moving to Vienna

I am in the process of moving from dallas to Vienna this fall.

Q:
- any indigo folks in Austria?
- what is used in the Eu for dimmers that fit the small light switches.
- and any other advice you can give me is welcome.

Karl

Re: Moving to Vienna

Welcome to Europe.

Pls note that we use 868.42 MHz for zwave.

You can find examples of dimmers here. https://shop.zwave.eu/products/lighting ... -rgbw/?p=1

INSTEON is not used in Europe.

You can use a plug to convert to 240v EU or buy new cables if it is possible.

I'm jealous. Isn't that where they make those tasty sausages?

I came here to drink milk and kick ass....and I've just finished my milk.

Re: Moving to Vienna

So true. Sacher Tortes are dangerous.

Sue and I spent a few days in Austria a couple years ago (stopover on our return from China). Beautiful country. On our list to go back and explore more.

Oh, Karl…
Then we can have a beer somewhere between South Germany (Bavaria) an Wien (Vienna).
And a Wiener Schnitzel

Re: Moving to Vienna

I have many (15) APC battery backups (120V) various size: small to VERY large capacity
They will not work in Europe... hence they will stay here

Also
several Zwave and insteon devices and modems
- lamps, vacuums, air filters, heaters, kitchen appliances, hairdryer, and many more things, they all have to go
- older MACS: 2005 mini, 2008 Laptop, 2008 MAC pro

Is anyone in the Dallas area interested. I don't want to ship them in the US, and don't want to sell / give them away piece meal

Matt, Jay interested? The APCs are still very good

.. and does anyone know a company that will take all of the stuff and give me a % after they sell?
I only have 6 weeks to get EVERYTHING organized, packed, house and 2 cars sold ...

Re: Moving to Vienna

I thought you come originally from Germany.
Wien is not so far away from South Bayern, where I live.

BTW, have a look at Fibaro and Qubino

Re: Moving to Vienna

Thanks Dave

The container is already delayed before the movers have come. But I still hope the furniture will arrive in November.

Now the movers have nice excuse: Covid and wild shipping demand.

And they want more money as they need to store the furniture temporarily.

But I am still an optimist. It will all work out and I will a nice story to tell.

Karl.
