Smappee Hardware - what are you using?

Does this plugin work with Smappee Inifinity (which is what is offered on the Smappee website only via an "installer"?) https://www.smappee.com/us/infinity, or the unit you can buy on Amazon https://www.amazon.de/dp/B00Q4SD0S6/ref=pd_aw_sbs_196_1/258-5697535-4692915?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00Q4SD0S6&pd_rd_r=589647b3-a726-42f0-b84a-0e0b1ea2916a&pd_rd_w=xdRf3&pd_rd_wg=h3d4h&pf_rd_p=ecf0cb80-06b1-4598-85b1-6d77c4f95871&pf_rd_r=GNANG858N6T2J0Q4Q3R0&psc=1&refRID=GNANG858N6T2J0Q4Q3R0. TBH I'm confused about the differences between them. Is the Amazon one their older model? What is everyone here using?

Yes that one on Amazon is the older model that you could fit yourself.

I had one for about a year, but then it died without warning and they refused to repair it, just told me to get a refund via the original retailer.. which I did.. but as the one I got from them was on clearance it was much cheaper than the cost to buy it again so I just gave up at that point. To be honest I didn’t find it terribly good either.. it didn’t learn stuff that well and what it did was often inaccurate. It may well be the new pro one is more accurate, or perhaps mine was duff from the get go.

Thank you for your comments. Are you now using a different system for Power Monitoring? Can you recommend anything? I'm a little lost as to what direction I should go. The Sense power monitor looks impressive, but unfortunately is not compatible here in Germany (according to Sense).

I’m not currently using anything, although I have been looking into options that can directly read usage from the power/gas meter itself. Really should chase up on that actually.

Alternatively something like the aeotec power meter may work. Of course neither of these are going to give details per device.
