Disable Startup

Post by petematheson »

Hi All,

I'm switching Indigo between Mac's - How can I stop Indigo from loading on the old mac?
It's not listed in startup items, yet every time I boot it loads up in the background and only stops when I manually load up Indigo and stop the server.

How I would do it is:
  • Start Indigo on old Mac
  • From main Indigo menu, click first menu item (to left of File = Indigo 7.5?), click menu item Stop Server
  • From the Server Connection Status dialogue, click Start Local Server
  • From the Start Local Server dialogue, uncheck Auto start Indigo Server on user login
  • Click Start Server
  • Then close down Indigo i.e. Stop Server and quit Indigo
After that it shouldn't start. :)

I installed a temporary server to work on an airplane without an internet connection. After returning home, Indigo 7.4 tries to launch the server every time I restart. I tried turning off "auto-start," but I can't "start" the server to make the setting stick because I keep getting the attached dialog. How can I permanently tell Indigo to stop launching the server (which crashes in the background) every time I restart?
Thanks,
Joe

Choosing the Indigo->Connect to Remote Server... should just have the client connect to a different Mac and not try to start the Indigo Server.

You can also just delete the Indigo Server.app from /Library/Application Support/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 7.4/.
