Indigo marketing

Has Indigo just recently run a marketing campaign / been highlighted in a big magazine/channel?

Having been reasonably stable in terms of numbers of new users for a while, we suddenly seem to have a mass influx this last week or two?

Or is it just me :p

Re: Indigo marketing

Massive? I dunno.

But I've been recommending it when appropriate on Reddit pretty much every day for a year, and this past month or so I feel like maybe I've gotten some traction with newbies looking for a system and dissatisfied users of other junk.

SmartThings refugee, so happy to be on Indigo. Monterey on a base M1 Mini w/Harmony Hub, Hue, DomoPad, Dynamic URL, Device Extensions, HomeKitLink, Grafana, Plex, uniFAP, Fantastic Weather, Nanoleaf, LED Simple Effects, Bond Home, Camect.

Re: Indigo marketing

I’ve pushed it a bit on some Facebook groups.. not sure how many have went for it (if any) but some folks are quite interested in Indigo + HKB!

Looks that way to me too. I’ve even been able to answer some questions!

We haven't done any specific marketing in a while. We have been steadily (twice a week) posting about new/updated plugins to social media but I'm not sure any were yours.

We've also had a slew of spammers trying to get accounts on the forums which is a PITA.

Re: Indigo marketing

It’s the whole forum, or particularly Zwave area, that seems busier with new faces.

Re: Indigo marketing

As Jay mentioned we don't really do much marketing, aside from the social media posts. So thanks to everyone that helps post on reddit or other forums, and thanks for telling your friends and neighbors about Indigo. Word-of-mouth is definitely our primary marketing avenue!

I’ve also seen Brett Terpstra mention it in some recent posts. He has a significant Mac programmer following.
