Could not connect to the server after switching accounts

This weekend I
    (1) upgraded to Catalina 10.15.6. on my mini (Late 2014) external SSD,
    (2) upgraded Indigo to 7.4.1,
    (3) added a new administrative user, and
    (4) set auto-boot to that new account., with Indigo to run at startup.

The Indio server had been installed and auto-booting from my personal account and connectable from iOS and MBA devices'.

Along the way,
    (1) I lost the ability to connect from my iOS devices and
    (2) then, after installing Indigo to the new account (and up upgrading client on my MacBook Air)
    (3) lost the ability to connect to the server from the MBA.

Despite that, I am still able to run and use Indigo on the mini,.. but unable to connect and run Indigo from any remote device  .

Have you any idea what the problem may be and how to fix it?

If I have to do a clean install of Catalina, do I have to uninstall the Indigo server first to free up the license?

Hi Tom,

Did you add the Indigo 7.4 client app as a macOS user login item? We recommend not doing that. Instead use the option in the Start Local Server dialog of Indigo to have the Indigo Server started on user login, then just launch the Indigo 7.4 client (UI) whenever you need it.

It sounds like the macOS firewall might be blocking the connections. You can try totally disabling the macOS firewall temporarily to see if that is the case. If it is, then turn it back on and both shutdown the Indigo Server and quit the Indigo client, then relaunch the Indigo client. When it relaunches you will hopefully get the macOS alert prompting to allow the firewall rule to be created.

To deactivate the license choose the Indigo 7.4->License Details... menu item and press the button to deactivate the license. This must be done while the Indigo Sever is still installed and running.

Yup. Removing it solved the problem.

Thanks, Jay., for saving me from doing a clean install.
