Just starting, migrating from VeraEdge

Devices & folders, If I put a device in a folder, front room, and later want to move it to another folder, SO FAR I have not found a way to do that. This is using a TRIAL version. Thinking it is something pretty easy. Thanks

Drag and drop from one folder to the next should do it.

Open the home view = where you see the devices
Click and hold on device ... move the device to the new folder.

The other question that will come up: how can you see the states of a device?
Move the bottom pane up

Welcome. You'll find quite a few ex Vera users here and you won't regret it. I paid on 4 the day of trial, it's so good. It's so quick and robust to make the changes you want to make, and no more endless reloads.
As for moving devices, just drag and drop to the new folder.

It took me a while to think of indigo concept of devices, triggers and actions and I missed PLEG, but you won't regret the move. You can spend time building automation rather than trying to make Vera do what you want.

Also , coming from the large active Vera forum. Don't be put off by less posting here. It's just that most stuff works and is easy to set up relatively, so less questions to ask.

That's not to say we don't ask for help, we do, a lot and everyone, especially the plugin Devs are always willing to help. Even Matt and Jay, the guys who write indigo. How many times did you see Vera support helping with lua script questions??

Re: Just starting, migrating from VeraEdge

OF course, I had tried drag & drop, just was looking for a more complicated way, than just moving it to the folder. After couple days I am farther ahead than after two years using Vera.
Thanks, appreciate the response.
