WUnderground Odd Forecast

Been seeing this in our WU device forecasts lately.
I know this is Montana but a “chance of snow” ain’t happening with temps around 80 degrees.

The forecast online doesn’t show the chance of snow.
Anyone else seeing stuff like this?

Thanks,

Carl

Yes, Weather Underground is struggling with their API right now.

We're seeing considerable oddness, but you're the first here to report forecast text problems.

I would strongly encourage anyone that uses the data for mission-critical automation to pay particular attention to what's coming through.

Seeing more strangeness today.
Noticed the date(s) of the forecast are for January.

Yes, the January data bug is well reported to WU and unfortunately it doesn't appear that they're too keen on fixing it.

I myself have been seeing two days' worth of forecasts where the forecast text was missing, forecast days were wrong, and forecast temperatures were wrong (I guess we'll have to wait and see to be sure, but I doubt that it will be a high of 93º today and a low of -7º tomorrow...)

I am now deprecating the Weather Underground suite of plugins and will be starting research on potential replacements after I finish up some work on the GhostXML plugin. If weather data is critical to your install, I would strongly encourage you to find another source for weather data. I'll continue to support the WUnderground plugin, but have no plans for new features. This is very disappointing, but with Weather Underground cancelling their free API keys--I feel I have no alternative--as WU may stop supporting the free keys at any time.

Really a shame. Always liked WU.

Me too.

Rumor has it that the lowest tier for paid access is $850 per month.
