Re: Sonos

Hi there,
Has there been any movement on this plugin? I am having some issues with the GA feature, and see that there has not been any development for some time. This is a rely important plugin for me so I hope someone is still working on it :)

regards

Re: Sonos

I upgraded one of my Sonos ZonePlayers to v5 and see that there have been some changes under the hood. I can confirm that there are serious issues with the Group Announcements. I'm working on understanding what the changes are so I can re-code the logic. Thanks for your patience.

Re: Sonos

That is good news! I am currently using sonos with the Vera plugin because of this. So an update on this would be very welcome :)

Re: Sonos

If you have the time, please download the latest version of the plugin. I think I fixed the group announcement issues.

Re: Sonos

Thanks for the update! This is some really good news. I am struggling a bit with the GA MP3 function. I have tried to follow your instructions, but when I try a mp3 announcement nothing happens. In indigo it seams like everything is ok. I get no error. If I have the sonos app open on my iphone I get an error. Could not play announcement.mp3 - can not connect to //Server/Perceptive... because the server does not exist. When I watch the folder during the announcement, I don't see any files created.

(A small side note is that I am also having issues when I try to handle radio stations containing scandinavian letters. Can you implement support for this letters?)

Any thoughts on how to solve this?

Håvard

Re: Sonos

We need to get the share working. Are you able to set this up on your Indigo server?

Sonos

I thought I had it set up. I created a shared folder and gave everyone read write access. Is there any more to it? (Yes, on the server)

Re: Sonos

The share needs to also have guest access enabled.

I am getting unsure that I have enabled guest access for the SMB share. How do I do this?

Re: Sonos

Got this from Apple docs: "OS X allows guests to access shared folders on your Mac. To turn off guest access, deselect “Allow guests to connect to shared folders” in the Guest Account pane of User & Groups preferences."

Re: Sonos

I just installed the new version 6.17. I'm able to run actions and control sonos, but the states do not show up. in devices, my sonos states are empty as well as on control pages.

Re: Sonos

Hi

I have enabled smb file sharing as described.
I have also created a guest user and given it full access to the specified folder.
I have also pointed sonos to the directory to be absolutely sure that it should be able to find the file.
I have also placed a mp3 file manually in the directory but the error is still displayed in the sonos app.

The smb path I have set up is as follows: Server/Perceptive Automation/Indigo 6

Can this have something to do with the Sonos-ZeroMQ setup?

They are displayed as this in terminal:
-rw-r--r--@ 1 Server staff 9625 Dec 7 2013 zmq.h
-rw-r--r--@ 1 Server staff 8365 Dec 7 2013 zmq.hpp
-rw-r--r--@ 1 Server staff 2139 Dec 7 2013 zmq_utils.h

-rwxr-xr-x@ 1 Server staff 459540 Dec 7 2013 libzmq.1.dylib
-rw-r--r--@ 1 Server staff 920032 Dec 7 2013 libzmq.a
-rwxr-xr-x@ 1 Server staff 459540 Dec 7 2013 libzmq.dylib
-rwxr-xr-x@ 1 Server staff 932 Dec 7 2013 libzmq.la
drwxr-xr-x@ 10 Server staff 340 Dec 7 2013 pkgconfig

Is this correct?

thank you for your support.

Re: Sonos

It seems like you are doing everything correctly. What version of OS X are you running? And is it the server version?

Re: Sonos

Can you post the output of the coherence.log? It is in the plugin directory.

Re: Sonos

in plugins, if i 'open package contents' of the sonos plugin, i can dig down to a 'coherence' folder. is this it? there's a log.py and log.pyc in there.
