I am using the plugin with the Alexa bridge to voice control Sonos. The way I do it is to use a simple virtual on/off device that triggers an action for each command. I also set a status variable as to whether the device is on (playing) or off (stopped). It works fine for a single device. The issue is if multiple devices are grouped the status of each device is not accurately reflected.

So, my request is to add some basic device states that can then be used to trigger various other actions or update variables. Ideally, it would be great to see whether the state of an individual Sonos is playing, stopped or paused.

Is there a way to make the Sonos device a variable? I want to be able to use a script to pick music source, device, and (ideally) a volume level all from within the script. Is that possible?
