I performed the exact instructions that you wrote. The download and compile were really quick...maybe 5 minutes at most.

I have an older 2007/08 MacPro (Intel XEON big eight core monster (twin quad core)). Could this cause an issue on compiling the libraries?

FYI, the v5 plugin works for my current needs (and I'm on the Sonos beta program so the plugin and beta Sonos sw work together...for now :) ).

Until the need is required to use v7, I'll stick with this version.

You may want to give v8 a shot - I removed many of the external dependencies. Installation is much simpler now. I'm glad you got it going nonetheless.
